PHILLIPS HARBORPLACE just opened a new lounge menu this week and we were the very very first to sample EVERYTHING on the lounge menu with their new Chef Arturo Mngr Michael Moran (both seen left with CITYPEEK Patti) Chuck Payne-SHERATON INNER HARBOR HOTEL and Michelle Torres who tasted the the 'chicktails' www.phillipsseafood.com/index.cfm?page=promotions offered for breast cancer benefit though early December. We intimately sampled really surprisingly modern, hip food for PHILLIPS SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS known as a more traditional seafood house. Ok, so the new Executive Chef used to run REPUBLIC STEAKHOUSE in West LA and he brings a mix of his signature from there and his days in South Beach (MIAMI)--lobster corn dogs served with a fine mustard remoulade. And, we were told this lobster dish was the dish most requested by Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore!!! Also crab mac n cheese lollipops--smoked gouda, cheddar infused pasta pops-yum! Then came the tiny slider preview-salmon cake, crab cake (fried) and a beef burger served bistro style w/fries, grilled oysters with a grilled corn salsa, dim sum-yes PHILLIPS has dim sum! The sauces plated with many of the dishes the chef comments, 'pack a little heat with the sweet savory foods paired.' Oh, did we mention jumbo lump crab with avocado martini? FABULOUS! WANT TO WIN FREE COCKTAILS IN PHILLIPS HARBORPLACE LOUNGE? Tell us 1. what year Phillips Seafood started its original business & 2. when did it open in Harborplace--win a martini for 2 in the new lounge (thru Nov 7). 25 pair-can win-answer below correctly and must add your email address 2 answer! http://www.citypeek.com/baltimore/restaurant/phillips-seafood-restaurant...

FROM DARA & KATE SCHNEE For anyone who loves the magic of Disney, both young and old, watching Disney on Ice is a fantastic way to spend time together as a family. The characters we know and love are all part of the show, from the Disney princesses to the scary villains. Everything was superb – the skating, acting, singing, costumes, and special effects. The audience was engaged and joined in on the celebration of customs from around the world. Just remember to bring along a few extra dollars, as the concession stands are pricey. Now available www.ticketmaster.com

NO HARRIS TEETER in Baltimore: Construction and financing problems will delay the opening of Baltimore city’s first Harris Teeter market at least another year. The high-end grocer is the main attraction at McHenry Row, a $250 million commercial development being built along Key Highway in Locust Point. It was slated to open in February 2010. Pikesville developer Mark Sapperstein said the project is behind schedule by about 12 month because he has not been able to borrow enough money to pay for the construction. The store is now planning a spring 2011 debut. Source: From BBJ Daniel Sernovitz
Mr Rain's Fun House Now Open in the AMERICAN VISIONARY ARTS MUSEUM November 1--we sampled delicious salmon entree served with crisp green beans perfectly seared rare--as we requested, along with adobo ribs and the most decadent sweets for dessert. Chef Bill and wife proprietress Maria and Beverage Guru Perez were on hand all night greeting friends & family guests.
