The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, the city’s non-profit arts council, events agency and film office, announces its lineup of events for 2018. Light City returns for its third year in 2018 with new and expanded programming, as well as seasoned festivals Artscape and the Baltimore Book Festival. The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts continues to showcase visual art exhibitions at School 33 Art Center, the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower and the Top of the World Observation Level. In addition, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts manages four facilities and produces programs and grants that support artists, arts programs and organizations across the city year round. All events produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts are completely free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted. A full schedule of events is listed below.

Baltimore has always been a city of neighborhoods, with each one offering its own history, culture, and flavor. Neighborhood Lights, Light City’s immersive community artist-in-residence program kicks off April 6-8 with fourteen neighborhoods: Baybrook (Brooklyn and Curtis Bay), Belair-Edison, Bromo Arts and Entertainment District, Darley Park, Federal Hill, Hamilton Lauraville, Highlandtown, Hollins Roundhouse/Southwest Baltimore, Little Italy, Locust Point, Patterson Park, Pigtown, Remington and Waverly. Selected artists and community groups will design and develop a collaborative illuminated piece reflecting the personality of participating neighborhoods.
