About UNCORKED! by The National Associations of Catering Executives (NACE) Baltimore took place March 15 @ American Visionary Arts Museum. Executive Director, Rebecca Hoffberger judged tables designed in the theme of the film industry. Other judges were Baltimore Magazine's Max Weiss, who flew in the judge and catch a new flick to review, Randi Rom, Sloane Brown donning her video camera, Brian Lawrence from STYLE attending his 1st such event, among other notables.

CITYPEEK took an early media preview to catch great looks at all of the absolutely get-out, fabulous tables. Out of 26 dinner tables housed in the Emerald City, (a sell-out) 2 were Breakfast at Tiffany's and the one by the lovely Dulany from Gala Cloths by Dulany) had an Audrey look-a-like and 2 tables were La Cage aux Folles aka "The Birdcage."
The winner of MOST CREATIVE: ONE FLEW OVER THE CUKOOS NEST-each place had a Rx of Prozac and nurses cap and the table was capped by a bird's nest awning, spectacular indeed.
Also noted: Danial Raffel's-GM of the new Baltimore ALIZEE bistro & wine bar- West Side Story-I Feel Pretty-we are seen with Amy O'Connell of the Inn at the Colonnade to the right singing in some sort of unison.
Stephanie Bradshaw (a 2008 winner) The Dark Night and who won 2009 fan favorite, Wizard of Oz by Radebaugh Florists (I sat in the Scarecrow seat, you know, me, the shrinking violet ;-) . Thank you to my table hostess Abbey Fitzpatrick, Sheraton Inner Harbor catering exec and lovely co-diners, Radebaugh Florists and the team from American Furniture Rentals.

For the past 5 years, the Baltimore Chapter of NACE has hosted UNCORKED!, a remarkable 5-course wine dinner sponsored by Francis Ford Coppola, with assistance distributed in Maryland by Sharon Charney's Charmer-Sunbelt Group of Reliable Churchill (the Director's Cut label was most appropriate) and table design competition. The fundraiser brings together members of the event industry and the community at large for an evening of fine cuisine, wine, décor, a silent auction, and entertainment, and its success on all levels has garnered multiple awards, setting the bar for fundraising events throughout the nation. UNCORKED! proceeds will benefit the Foundation of NACE, the Baltimore Chapter of NACE, and the Maryland Food Bank.
