Big Steaks Management's Steve deCastro (seen to the right with CITYPEEK.com Patti) and David Sedaghi and Heather Renz put together the fabulous Ruth’s Chris annual benefit for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Sept 22 at the Havana Club after a great day of golf at Chestnut Ridge Country Club. Silent auction and live brought in thousands for this cause near and dear to me. Len Stoler execs Jimmy Berg and Barry Stoler brought out a team of cars for the hole in ones and a team of ringers--but alas, no cars won. Many RAVENS player in the party as well as some past COLTS players! A fabulous buffet of the most tender beef, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, caesar salad, paired with Hess and Penfolds wines delighted all. $222,000 was raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thank you so much! I am a 15 year survivor. There, I said it!

TALARA Baltimore, Baltimore's Nuevo Latin-inspired tapas restaurant in HARBOR EAST, is now open for lunch daily. We answered a twitter invitation and were one of the 1st to sample Talara Baltimore’s new menu created and oversing the kitchen that day was Chef/Owner himself, Yves Carreau (who also runs Sonoma Grill in Pittsburgh), his right-arm, General Manager, Nick Rizzo (both seen to the left w/CITYPEEK.com Patti Neumann) and yet another handsome team member, Asst. General Manager, Ari Cohen. Highlights we sampled on the new lunch menu were a seared & sliced spicy, ahi tuna salad served with pistachios and blue cheese crumbles and a Bento salad, fresh omelette, ceviche, many options--a healthy-style box you will find no fried items like a typical Japanese box. Also at lunch is a non-alcohol ice tea mojito www.citypeek.com/balti more/dining We must repeat that you need to check out this healthy, huge meal--Talara Bento Box, a complete lunch.
