“Kids Got Poetry” is a monthly poetry workshop FOR kids, DESIGNED by a kid and HOSTED by a kid! (Well, her Mom helps out). Kids 5 and up learn how to organize and express their thoughts, feelings and ideas, write their own original poems and share their work in a fun, encouraging and gently supervised, family atmosphere.
The “Kids Got Poetry!” poetry workshop series is the brainchild of 8 year old aspiring poet, artist and fashion designer Sophie Matricciani, and is supervised by her proud mother and Maryland literary legend, Julie Fisher.
“Kids Got Poetry!” takes place on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6pm at The Hamilton Gallery on 5502 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214, near the intersection of Harford Road and Hamilton Avenue. This event is hosted by Sophie Matricciani and supervised by Julie Fisher.
