Debbie Brown, Events and PR Manager of Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and her 20 volunteers helped make sure the party was a smash success. Half of the evenings proceeds will be donated the wonderful organization.
Marva William, Director of Special Events, Office of the Mayor got to attend for very first time. Patti Neumann, CITYPEEK had the pleasure of attending her 2nd time.

Who was the Best of the Best you ask? The award for Best Overall went to Bradshaw Styling & Chef’s Expressions table design for The Beatles “Strawberry Fields Forever” inspired table with large paper strawberries, and strawberry sweets on the table. Monica Beeman, Vines to Vino had the pleasure of sitting at The Strawberry Fields table and was happy to be there for her first time.

The talk of the night was definitely the table that won for Most Creative & People’s Choice, Perkins Productions rendition of B-52’s “Love Shack” themed table, and if you wanted a sugar overload the winner for Best Interpretation went to Absolutely Perfect Catering for The Archies “Sugar, Sugar” design. The night ended with guests moving from the 3rd floor of the AVAM to the barn and party down to a Fantastic performance from the VIPs. What will be in store for next year!! Here's a recap from the Guns N Roses table: (Seen above with a Rose: Carl Brashears, Classic Disc Jockey's and CITYPEEK's Patti Neumann)
Firstly, our table was in the company of both the former, local NACE president Alicia Crosby (AVAM) as well as the current President of Baltimore NACE, Carmen Lennartsson (Baltimore Country Club) so the pressure was on to "act like we were raised right."  But we were at the Guns N' Roses table so we had a some wiggle room for some hard rockin' hijinx.... We had many people stop by to take pictures with our Slash look-a-like Bubby Mcgowan (McGowan Painting) and they instinctively flashed the obligatory rock horns (pointer and pinky fingers) and some even drank from the Jack Daniels bottle that was a "prop" on the table (wink wink).

Seen left 2 Chef's serving a course to the entire hospitality crew: Bill Tien, MATSURI JAPANESE RESTAURANT and JERRY EDWARDS, CHEF'S EXPRESSIONS/married to JULIE BROWN-EDWARDS of TREMONT HOTELS also in the crowd.

We ate caviar and somehow the conversation went to Mr. Howell on Gilligan’s Island where one unfortunate individual our table, Alicia’s young AVAM intern Julia Levin, had never even heard of the show.  We sang along to the songs and joked around with NACE National big wheel, Bonnie Fedchock (NACE National Executive Director). Carmen's husband, Andreas seemed to take it in stride when his lovely wife donned her tattoo sleeves provided in the Slash inspired gift top hats along with other skull laden chotzkies.  Loren Lippman from Party Rental was suspiciously absent after the appetizer...
