Well, I am invited to a lot of foodie events and the delicious occasions can add up soooo....I'm finally trying to get myself back in shape. I am taking up a hobby that I started at a young age, but am not using training wheels this time. With the help of a friend, I went back to the store that I bought my first bike, heck, most of my tennis gear (remember Lenny Schloss?) and all my swim suits came from Princeton Sports! This time, I bought a helmet! I have been walking all over the city wearing t-shirts you send me from Natty Boh/CITYPEEK.com to UnderArmour to MAYOR's SOCCER C [1]UP-(nice logo Betsy!) The Perfect Cupcake, The Wine Jester to Building Baltimore. Now, after visits to Baltimore and Columbia stores of Princeton Sports and help of a trusted friends from the Food, EconomicDev, Law, Real Estate Fields like: Nancy, Jenny, Terri, Mark-(you know who you are!) have a new exercise routine on my brand new bike. Princeton Sports, hands-on,co-owner, Alan Davis is so proud and attentive to the customer experience. "We pride ourselves on service, listening to the customer and making sure they get the right (toy) product and are happy," he tells me. They have a wonderful selection and most importantly, gave me excellent, hands-on service. Ask for Max or Tony in Columbia, but any employee can help you patiently. When at the Wednesday Winesday GRAND PRIX Italian Wine Tasting @ TAVERNA CORVINO (did I win a bottle, Scotti or Jim?) www.citypeek.com/baltimore/dining [2] last night-Chef Paternotte exclaimed the very words I just did "I just took my boys at Christmas to get their first set of bikes. That's where I got my first bike We got all our bikes, skis and tennis gear from Princeton. Pretty cool, "Chef finishes. Mention CITYPEEK.com at any location and they’ll give you a FREE water bottle with any purchase. www.princetonsports.com [3]. Word is CITYPEEK Patti has been invited to ride with the Mayor in the near future, stay tuned.
Miguel’s Restaurant (SILO POINT CONDOS) scored the spot in front of Silo POINT LUXURY WATERONT CONDOS. Recently had a lovely visit in the SILO POINT SKY LOUNGE--this Baltimore luxury condominium hosts a rooftop sky lounge with one of Baltimore's Best views--360 degrees. Watched the huge CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIP turn 360 degrees and leave the Baltimore Cruise Terminal with pal, Terri Herrington of Mackenzie Commercial Real Estate Services. CARNIVAL PRIDE made me proud of Baltimore Watched Sales Manager, SCOTT SIMPSON take numerous people around to view the property also. The gym is extraordinary--the services there are enviable. The SILO POINT RESTAURANT is slated to open in the Fall. Congratulations Chef Michael Marx of Rub BAR B Q! http://www.citypeek.com/baltimore/living [4]

Recently Heard of Bolt Bus Bolt Bus and saw one hanging out by the Inner Harbor across from Harbor Court Hotel--check out Donna in the EXPLORER'S LOUNGE bar there, she is top-notch.. Anyway, The BOLT BUS has great deals to NYC! Only $8!!! https://www.boltbus.com/ [14] Has anyone taken it to NYC?
I learned of a new partnership between Kennedy Krieger Institute and Lotus Jewelry Studio and the jewelry line that has emerged as a result. Working with Lotus Jewelry Studio, a local Baltimore-area jeweler, Kennedy Krieger helped design a new, handcrafted line of custom jewelry pieces with sales exclusively benefiting the Institute. As a result, the jewelry line was created by Lotus Jewelry Studio and is now available for purchase. I thought this interesting Baltimore partnership, especially given the recent economic climate. Additionally, with proceeds going towards Kennedy Krieger, what a great way to give back to an organization doing great work for special needs children in the community while also being stylish at the same time!
Brewers Hill Restaurant-BLUE HILL TAVERN private tour—CITYPEEK Patti had a private walking tour with owner co-CIA Trained Chef Mel Carter of the new hot spot in Baltimore BLUE HILL TAVERN. Mel explains he wants BLUE HILL TAVERN Restaurant in Brewers Hill- "to be a hip, yet laid back and relaxed atmosphere!" Thus proving, great food does not need to be eaten in a suit. Met the Executive Chef (Mel's roomie from Culinary Institute of America) BrettLockard who was ready to teach a sous vide class to the employees, and Sam Sieracki, the Bar Manager. Now, I cannot wait to go and sample the menu like a mushroom wellington, lamb, steak and eggs appetizer and the grillled tomato sandwich with Natty Boh beer cheese soup! The place is the sexiest restaurant to hit Baltimore since IXIA came (and now closed after 8 years). It is gorgeous, a real NYC, chic DC LA type of feel. And check out the mounted TV framed in a silver, rose pattern with a mirror border.
INTERESTING SITE: www.BuildingBaltimore.com [15]-- Build Baltimore suggests to anyone in the Baltimore area to choose a local source for contractors and building supplies. Most referrer sites are located out of state, these guys know the local contractors and suppliers, which ones are good. They also alert people to scams in the area, and situations to avoid, such as the "Travelers" a group of Gypsies that move from state to state preying on the elderly.
All for now. More next week from furnished housing options to restaurant week samples to riding my bike on the NCR trail to battle of the Chefs of Ryleigh's Oyster's Chef Morrow vs TAVERNA CORVINO's Chef PATERNOTTto DC Loews Madison Hotel and DC fine dining--and my bike ride with the Mayor's bike troupe.
