[6]Approximately 200 people are expected to participate in the fun, inspiring, community fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation.
Leashed pets are welcome for the two-mile walk. The event also will feature refreshments—including bagels from Panera, entertainment and activities for the whole family. Sherry Goodman of New York Life Insurance will produce complimentary child photo ID cards.
Funds raised through Kidney Walk will directly support the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland’s patient services, education and research efforts.
